Denise Koval introduced Ken Teagle. Not only does Ken know roofs, but he understands the nuances of how insurance companies work. Innovative Roofing works with a myriad of roofing products and has the experience you want! His fun-loving wife Maureen is a very serious anesthesiologist. Ken is a big-game hunter, using both guns and the compound bow! He is a world traveler and his heart is in the Rockies! Ken and Maureen are excellent hosts and have served Denise some of the best gumbo she has ever had as well as succulent BBQ!
Ken expressed appreciation for all past and present DEA members who have done business with him over the last 13 years! The DEA has been really good to him! Ken was born in Shreveport and grew up in Houston. His Dad was a preacher and had 4 sons. Ken went to trade school after graduating from High school in 1977 and got a welding degree and became a certified welder. He worked for a year as a welder and decided college sounded like a better idea! He went to college at ACU in Abilene and graduated with a degree in Business Management and Marketing and then got a Masters in Psychology. Ken was married 9 years and has 2 daughters: one lives in Missoula, Montana and the other is finishing veterinarian school in Colorado. Ken was divorced for 22 years before marrying Maurine 7 years ago. They travel a lot! His hobbies include: outdoors, hunting, fishing, hiking, golf and working out. He is a member of several groups including the DEA, Better Business Bureau, the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation and also the NRA! You need to come see his trophy room!
Ken has been in the roofing business for 25 years. He learned the business as a salesperson and then was in a partnership for 10 years. In 2004, he started Innovative Roofing. The services they offer are primarily repairing and replacing roofs and most of their work is storm damage. Ken likes to be there to meet with the insurance adjuster so you can have someone represent you and negotiate what the settlement will be. He has good, seasoned crews that have been with him a long time. They do a really good job at a reasonable price.
Ken showed us some of the products he uses. Standard, composition laminated shingles comprise about 95% of roofs in this area. He also sells a slate-look composition shingle, a Da Vinci Slate (imitation slate) and stone-coated steel shingles, a metal roof which imitates a shake or tile roof. The stone-coated steel is much lighter than concrete tile.
Class 4 rated products (such as stone-coated steel and some composition shingles) have greater hail resistance and a lot of insurance companies will give you a discount, but if the hail is big enough, it will damage anything.
The roofs they can’t help you with are few and far between! They can do pretty much any roof except a teepee! No job is too small! In addition to roofing, they also do gutters, patio covers and car ports.
Ken showed us tempting pictures of smoked meat, wine and beers and invited us to all come to a party at his house this Thursday from 5pm-8pm or until Uber comes! You will even be able to watch the NCAA March Madness games! The party will be at 7230 Midbury Dr, Dallas!
