Celebrating Our 82nd Anniversary 1935 - 2017

DEA Meeting: A-Star Plumbing

DEA Meeting: A-Star Plumbing

Steve Wilson has been in the DEA over a decade and is a Past President.  Steve said it is good to be back!  A-Star has reinvigorated their business, with Steve still doing the residential side.

Aaron Williams, the General Manager at A-Star, shared with us about their commercial business.  A-Star Heating and Air started in 1997, primarily installing systems for other companies.  Now, they have 82 employees and 27 trucks!  They do work for multiple municipalities:  Irving, Fort Worth, and Dallas.  In 2011, the A-Star Plumbing division was created.

A-Star works with commercial, municipality, maintenance, new construction, remodel, solar heating, and commercial service.  They fabricate many of their products in-house.  Their work is turn-key:  they cut the streets, do the work, and put everything back!  They have done work at Dallas Love Field and DFW Airport; the TSA is interesting to work with!  They have done a lot of work with restaurants and bars; they love re-purposing old buildings!…

Chairman Ron Schulz, presented the Six Month Report and Goals!

Chairman Ron Schulz presented the Six Month Report.  Ron thanked everyone who has worked on the Board during his time with the DEA to make it more streamlined and efficient.  He especially thanked Keith Horniman for all his work with the DEA; if Keith went to Washington, he could probably turn the government around!  Ron also thanked Dianna for her work and assistance.

Ron's goal for the next 6 to 12 months is members!  Considering the leads and the amount of money spent and received through those leads, there are people we know who want to be part of this group!  Ron will work with Mike Mirau to help identify beneficial categories with the goal of adding 10 members who are synergy partners over the next 6 to 12 months!

Happy Birthday wishes to:

Darryl Galen (d. galen graphics) - July 21st
