It's Blogging, not Rocket Science!

The DEA would like your articles or blogs!  They can be as simple as a write-up of a business tip you might give at a DEA meeting, or something that is important for everyone to know about your market or industry, or a continuing education article you may have written (or need to write) for your industry.  We will post them on the website under "Member Articles"; it will give us some great content and you more exposure.  Who knows, we might learn something!  Just email Dianna the link or article!

Richard Kinney, Your Web Guys, has provided a timely article giving us all great blogging tips.  It is available under "Member Articles" at DallasExecutives.com!

Amending the DEA By Laws

The Board is recommending an amendment to the Dallas Executive Association By Laws to reduce and restructure the Board.  The full amendment will be emailed to all members by the end of March and the vote will be held April 11th at the regular Tuesday morning meeting.  The proposed amendment will require approval of 2/3 of the membership in attendance at the meeting.

It is proposed that the new Board have 11 members consisting of 5 officers (Chairman, President, 1st VP, 2nd VP, Treasurer/Secretary), 2 Past Presidents and 4 At Large Members.  The Past President directors will be voted on by Past President members.  Five non-Past President members will be elected from 10 nominees by all qualified members; one of them will be chosen by the officers to become the new Secretary/Treasurer.  This will continue to give Past Presidents input while allowing newer members a greater opportunity to serve on the Board.

Members must be current in their dues to be qualified to vote.
