DEA Meeting: Halo Branded Solutions

Michael Bosco introduced Chris Boots.  Michael is wearing a Halo Branded shirt, because that is what he wears every day.  Chris does great work on all of their stuff and has great customer service!  He takes care of Michael’s team!  If it is something that you use, you can brand it and stamp it and get your logo out there.  He highly recommends you all use Chris!

Chris said he is blessed to be in the DEA!  He has done and received a lot of business here!

Halo Branded Solutions delivers promotional marketing solutions.  They do a lot of big corporate accounts like Amazon, Wendy’s, and the American Cancer Society, to name a few.  They were founded in 1952 and are headquartered in Sterling, IL.  They have 900 account executives across the US and did $720 million in business last year!

Brand integrity is very important to Halo!  They follow brand guidelines to a T to display brands in the most appropriate way and consistently across all products.

Halo’s core competencies include Branded Merchandise, Web Stores, Recognition Solutions and Global Sourcing.

Why use branded merchandise?  Promotional products provide long-lasting and repeat exposure.  Promotional products are used at least once a week by 73% of people and 84% of people using promotional products keep that product for more than a year. Also, 74% of consumers have a promotional product in their work area.  Look around your offices and see whose promotional products you are using.

Halo can provide branded merchandise for calendars, glassware, beach towels, recognition services and so many other products.  They can get creative with where they put your brand.  They also deal with many luxury brands like Nike, Under Armor, and Yeti.  Halo publishes a magazine annually or they can send you information on a monthly basis if you like to see new products and ideas; just let Chris know.  One company did a large corporate trip and sent two mailers out prior to the trip as touch-points keeping the trip in front of their team.  Some companies offer new customer kits that sales teams can give out....

Good News Stories!

Dr. Paul Chafetz was referenced in a NY Times article (https://www.nytimes.com/2019/02/18/smarter-living/five-things-i-wish-i-knew-chronic-illness-crohns-disease-ibd.html) on February 18th, based on some content on his website that had been there awhile.  As a result of that article, he already has 3 new clients!  That shows the value of having content on your website!

Brad Swann, CopyNet Digital Imaging Solutions, my 11-year-old granddaughter is raising money for the American Heart Association through her school (MISD).  Check with Brad if you would like to contribute.

30-Second Commercials!

Ken Ward, Schooley Mitchell, my partner and I are focusing on hotels this year and helping them reduce their costs.  If any of you have connections to a hotel, please let me know.

Chris Clausen, CNC Home Care, we just lost a long-term client and I have 3 male care-givers available, which are very hard to find!  If you know of someone who needs one, let me know!

Done Deals

Ron Schulz, Supreme Lending, shared how doing a good job can lead to great referrals and business!  Ron did a loan for Keith Brown, Audio Video Innovations, about a year ago.  Keith referred a good friend of his in San Antonio to Ron because the friend was having a terrible time getting a reasonable loan.  There were some challenges, but Ron figured it out and got it closed.  About two days later, the friend's mom called Ron to do a loan!  The family had purchased 3 lots and gave one to each of the children, so the Grandma could walk to see each of her grandchildren.  So, one loan turned into three!

Jeremy Bermender, Atomic Design and Consulting, shared that in an effort to make the group more accessible, members can join the meeting with Zoom video conferencing.  This is not an excuse to be lazy, but if you could not make the meeting because of the drive or other commitments that day, feel free to join in through Zoom!  Jeremy recommended you allow 5-10 minutes in advance of the meeting to get set up.  We will send out a link before the meeting so you can join in.  If you are not already on the B2B group email, let Dianna know so you can get all the information!

Need an office desk?

Or, a conference room table and chairs?

The desk and conference room table and chairs at the former DEA office space need a new home!  We need to get them out of that space (near LBJ and Hillcrest) before the end of April.  Please let us know if you are interested.

The desk is a 72" desk, 42" bridge, 65" or 66" return and hutch with doors.  It includes 2 pedestals which are both box, box, file.  (Thank you Cynthia Oliver, Preferred Business Solutions, for the correct terminology!)  They are a walnut laminate.  (Office chair not included.)  The conference room table is 14' x 4' and is in two, u-shaped pieces.
