DEA Meeting: Alamo Title

Ted Biggers introduced Tessa Bache-Wiig and Alamo Title - Biggers Law Firm.  Ted is a lifetime Dallasite and a 3rd generation attorney.  Ted's grandfather was a charter member of the DEA!  Ted's father joined the firm in the late 50's and Ted joined in the late 80's.  After their sons were raised, Kathryn Biggers, also an attorney, came to work  at the Law Firm.  They have always done a lot of Real Estate transactions, but couldn’t close the transactions.  A few years ago, they were contacted by Alamo Title and asked if they were interested in being a Title company.  Kathryn has headed up the Title company.  They brought in Tessa almost two years ago to help them with their closings and their development and she has been a wonderful addition to their firm!

Tessa shared about the importance of Title Insurance and the benefits of using Alamo Title – Biggers Law Firm.  Title insurance is needed by home buyers, residential and commercial real estate investors, tenants (to protect their lease-hold interests), and lenders.  Basically, anyone who wants to protect their real estate investment needs Title Insurance.

5 Stand Shooting Event

5 Stand Shoot & BBQ 3-6pm today!

Come join us to shoot clays, eat delicious BBQ and have a great time from 3-6pm today at Elm Fork Shooting Sports!  We will have BBQ jalapeno poppers, chopped brisket sandwiches, water bottles and soft drinks.

We will have foam ear plugs available, but feel free to bring any additional hearing protection or protective eyewear you would like.

The cost for the event is $30/person for food and clays and you can bring or purchase (at the event) whatever ammo you want to shoot.

Alamo Title is sponsoring the first round of ammunition!  It's going to be a blast!!

First Meeting of B2B Group!

First Meeting of B2B Group!

The first meeting of the B2B group is May 8th for lunch at noon at Brian Eltis' office.  The group will meet the 2nd Tuesday of each month.  The purpose of the group is encouraging leads.  They will emphasize generating leads for 2-3 companies each month. They will also focus on 1-on-1's.  Be sure to RSVP to Brian so they have enough chairs and lunches!  Boxed lunches are $15 each; bring correct change or a check.  The address for Complete Supply is 1624 W. President Mariann Montgomery welcomed everyone to meeting #4,616 of the DEA, celebrating 83 years!

Results reported to date for 2018 are $435,329 and Money Spent is $231,044!

Good News Stories!

Denise Koval, Art That Grows, is excited to be going with the Preston Hollow Women's Club, Garden Club to tour the Bush Presidential Gardens, where Michael Bosco, Safe Haven Pest Control, will be their special tour guide, since he was instrumental in designing the grasslands garden!

Dr. Paul Chafetz has season tickets to the Dallas Arboretum concert series and will not be able to use the tickets for the Johnny Cash cover band concert and he offered them to someone who wanted to go.  He gave the tickets to Barbara Scribner, Keller Williams Residential!

Dr. Janell Kenny:  Happy Cinco de Mayo!  Watch for pinatas!

The Nominating Committee for the next 6 month term of the Board of Directors is:  Barbara Scribner, Mariann Montgomery, Jennifer Blakeney, Mike Moore and Marcello Guercini.

If you would like to be nominated to serve, make a recommendation of someone else to serve on the Board, or give other input to the committee, please do so!  The committee will meet May 8th, so don't delay!  The nominees for the Board election will be announced May 22nd.
