Braden Howell introduced Steve Ward.  Steve graduated from Texas Tech with a degree in advertising.  He has been in sales for 40 years and is currently an account manager with Emerald Business Solutions.  Steve is passionate about serving!  He is a deacon in his church, serves with AWANA and with his troop as an Eagle Scout!  Steve has also served with Back On My Feet and the Dallas Run for God ministries.  Steve loves running, biking, swimming and camping!  He took Braden’s father’s advice and married above himself with his lovely wife, Susan.  Together, they have 4 grown children and are expecting their 1st grandchild in March!

President Barbara Scribner welcomed everyone to meeting #4,596 of the DEA, celebrating 82 years!

Results reported to date for 2017 are $947,960 and Money Spent is $642,032!

Chef Mark thanked everyone who came to the Open House on Thursday.  He gave 2 prizes of a free breakfast for 15 from those who attended the Open house; the winners were: Dr. Maude Cejudo and Jennifer BlakeneyFor everyone else who attended the Open House, he will give a discount of $100 off any meal service for 30 guests or more!  You can also gift your discount, if they mention your name!

Chef Mark also shared about the value of feedback!  "We only know what we think we know!"  Mariann Montgomery gave him feedback and he was willing to take it and be vulnerable.  As a result of the changes he made based on that feedback, he got 2 sales, landed Texas Medical Center and has a foot in the door with Atmos.  Be open when someone in this room is giving you feedback!  They don't owe it to you; it is a gift!

Keith Brown, Audio Video Innovations:  our daughter, Harper, is two!  And, we survived the birthday party!

Rich Parker, Sewell Cadillac, is looking to hire an assistant.  It is a full-time position, $15/hour, he needs someone who is good with people and has good customer service skills!

Former DEA Member and Honorary Life Member, Gene O'Donnell passed away June 24th.  There was a service at that time and recently a ceremony in Santa Fe to spread his ashes.  Honorary Life Member Joe Buck Park and other former DEA members were in attendance.

Please remember Gene's family during this challenging time.
