Barbara Scribner described Michael Bosco as an incredible guy with great business acumen!

Michael’s parents taught him about business since theirs was run out of their house.  He got his technician’s license and ran his first route at 16, right after he got his driver’s license.  In 1955, Michael’s great-uncle started Rid-All, which was the 30th pest control company licensed in the state of Texas!  In 1978, his Dad purchased the business.

Michael introduced us to his 19-year old son Jordan, who is in the Civil Air Patrol, is at Texas Tech in Air Force ROTC and works for Michael.  His 9-year old son, Mason, is working with Michael to restore a truck, has a black-belt, took his first deer this year, and loves to build!  With some great vacation pictures, Michael joked that they kill things professionally and while on vacation!  His wife, Celeste, is a partner at Baron & Budd and litigates on behalf of water providers.  Michael is also the Regional Director for the Texas Pest Control Association and for the last 5 years, he has also been the Chairman of the Board for the Texas Discovery Gardens, a non-profit organization.

Michael also introduced us to the Safe Haven team.  They recently did an “Escape Room” in 41 minutes, which was a new record for that room.  In Pest Control, you have to use your brain to solve problems!

Michael is a graduate in Soil Science from Tarleton State and started a Lawn Fertilization business in ’98, serving up to 1500 residential clients.  One of his favorite projects was the George Bush Presidential Library, where he did the soil biology specifications to establish a prairie.  Blackland prairie is the most endangered ecosystem in our state since you can do anything on a prairie:  farming, ranching or building.  It was an honor to work on the project and be at the grand opening!

Michael rebranded Rid-All to Safe Haven when he bought it in 2014.  His is licensed in lawn, pest, termite and weed.  Michael is also an Associate Certified Entomologist.  After college, he was licensed as an Arborist and a Certified Agronomist, but has not kept those licenses up.

So many DEA members are clients!  Thank you for letting Safe Haven serve your home and businesses!  Their niche is primarily schools and residents with some restaurants.  They serve Keller, Arlington and Sherman ISD and hope to be adding Wylie ISD today!

Good leads are anyone with a pest problem!  They serve a large area from Rockwall to the East side of Fort Worth, up to 380 and down to Oakcliff!  “Continuous” leads are people who use their Bundle Services.  When you start combining pest control service with termite, rodent control and other pests, it can really start to add up, but most of those services tend to be on an as-needed basis.  Bundle Services give you a lot more value and allow you to plan your budget for the year. Their Ruby plan includes 6 times/year service for $40/month for basic treatment.  The Sapphire plan adds treatments for termites, and rodents, as well as other pests.  Rodent control is so bad right now; populations are off the charts!  Emerald and Diamond plans add mosquito control!

They will come and do an inspection at no charge!

Join us for an Open House and Customer Appreciation at Oak Highlands Brewery, Thursday from 5:45 – 8pm!  The address is 10484 Brockwood Rd, Dallas, TX 75238.  There will be beer, his brother’s fabulous BBQ, networking, and fun!
